McQuay International Earns ISO 14001:2004 Certification 

Company Demonstrates Sound Environmental Management Practices

MINNEAPOLIS – March 10, 2010 –McQuay International today announced that three of its manufacturing facilities – located in Owatonna and Fairbault, Minn. – have been independently audited and certified to the ISO 14001:2004 environmental management system (EMS) standard. This internationally recognized standard identifies specific requirements for organizations that want to implement a comprehensive EMS aimed at continuous environmental performance improvement.

“McQuay International is committed to continuous environmental performance improvement and we plan to aggressively pursue ISO 14001:2004 certification in all of our facilities,” said Ryan Fleser, corporate environmental systems manager. “Achieving this certification shows customers that we have processes in place to operate efficiently and that employees are aware of their environmental responsibilities.”

The ISO 14001:2004 designation is awarded only to those companies who have voluntarily demonstrated sound environmental management practices, work proactively to minimize harmful effects on the environment caused by its activities, and achieve continual improvement in its environmental performance.
